Travel to Wales

Wales, land of contrasts, blending natural beauty with the industrial landscape. At its heart converge undulating moorland, mountain systems glaciers, romantic castles and old mining towns. It is also characterized by the endless names of their locations, their famous rugby league, the mellifluous voice male choirs, the particular focus of their locals and toast with cheese. But within its borders also suffers from rampant deforestation, massive towers, installation of electric lines and the gradual replacement of nineteenth-century mining landscape for its own industrialization of the late twentieth century. After this strange mixture of beauty and ugliness, of longing and grief, lies the cornerstone of this country: the Welsh, whose spiritual strength and character remains defiant despite the constant slights and attempted assimilation of Anglo-Saxon culture from political union, administrative and economic relationship with England almost 500 years ago.

In Wales you can visit cities like Abergavenny (Y Fenni), Aberystwyth, Bangor or Wales
